Upon approval of registration by GST authorities, the GSTIN (GST Number) is generated. The Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) is a unique 15-digit code. Decoding the GST number (GSTIN) as follows :
- The first two digits represent the state code.
- The next ten digits represent the PAN number.
- The 13th digit is alphanumeric and is assigned based on the number of registrations a legal entity has within one state.
